IN THIS EPISODE
48 How long does it take to train a husband? When you’re running a business, and getting the business off the ground, and you think about business all the time. There’s way too much going on to vocalize all these things to your husband all the time.
27 What happens when your husband who is super supportive, either your husband is supporting you and your family, or maybe it’s just a business you’re running for yourself, is saying “show me the money.” You want to commit 100 percent and you want to build your business.
33 Focus your energy and your love on the one thing that’s going to move you forward.Think about the feeling of when someone loves on what you’re doing. Tune into that feeling and that emotion. If you have that light inside you and you know this is going to work, all the other things are just a distraction, tune in and focus on the positive feeling you get when someone loves you. That feeling is your new happy place.
39 Here’s what you do to get your husband to a place where he’s supporting you. Talk to him about things that are relevant and timely. Those important events, clients, and conversations that are going to move your business forward now. Ask him what he things. Let him know what you’re doing in your business.
23 Allow him to aid in some of the investment decisions. This can be controversial and it’s a personal decision between the two of you. If you’re an emotional spender, those emotions are usually excuses. You don’t have to spend the money to look professional enough, gain more experiences or learn more. The truth is, people buy people. Look at what you have now, and see if you can make money with what you have now.
47 Celebrating your wins. If you’re a go-getter, it’s so easy to stop and forget that those little baby steps are wins. Anytime something happens in your business, you should be stopping to celebrate it. Focus on the good things that have happened in your business. If you focus on the wins, that’s turning negative energy into positive energy. If you give your husband the role of cheerleader, he can focus on the good things. Give him cards of things that he can ask you about.
59 Communicate openly. Business is emotional and words matter. If you are sitting with him and he uses the word “if”, that can be devastating. If you catch him saying things to you that are hurting you or that are a buzzkill, tell him “not if, but when”. By changing the words, it’s going to change momentum.
55 Create mini goals together that when you meet them, it will feel amazing. Reach as high as you can, and what goal feels possible and then go a little bigger. Go to where it’s a bit of a stretch. Write that goal down and work on those together.
45 Make a vision board. Get the family involved and create something to get you all excited.
54 Baby steps is progress. Every little step puts you a little further into making progress on your goals. As long as you are making progress, you’re doing everything right. Enjoy that feeling.
