When life gets out of control and you feel like you’re in the middle of a storm, what do you do?

2:23 When the world starts to go haywire, and you start to feel tired, emotional drained and out of balance, all these things lead to the feeling that nothing seems to be going great.
3:23 Once we get into that groove and we’re in that place where nothing seems to go well, we attract more of that negativity. The law of attraction comes into play, maybe it’s Mercury, maybe things are just happening. When this happens, you can’t get out of that funk.
4:58 So what do you do? You can’t control things outside of yourself. You can control what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling and what’s immediately around you – your thoughts and your actions.
6:00 If you’re feeling out of control, look around you. If you’re in your car, is it messy? Does it need to be cleaned? If you’re at your house, do you need to clean the room you’re in? When you’re in an environment you’re in control of, and it’s a mess, you can clean it up which will help you gain control.
8:01 What can you do that’s been eating at you and what can you do to fix it? If you’ve got an element that’s in control, it’s going to make you feel better to clean up what you are in control of.
8:32 We want to reach for a better feeling emotion, when you clean, you gain a feeling of accomplishment. It’s going to naturally make you feel good and positive.
10:16 We need to reverse the downward spiral and make it spiral up.
10:30 What if you have a lot to do and you’re overwhelmed with all the things you need to do? This is when you’re laying in bed exhausted from all the things on your list. You’re mentally drained. My method is to brain dump. I’m the queen of list making and it helps me compartmentalize.
12:22 Write down all the things you need to do. Any of those things you’ve got to do, then you can start to organize them and delegate them. You need to allow others in your life to help you accomplish things. Be careful not to scrutinize others or blame, that just makes things worse. Create a due date next to things that need to get done and prioritize by the date.
14:59 Sometimes you can look at the list and instead of delegate, you can let the universe take care of things and allow them to take care of themselves. Put them on another piece of paper and then come back to them. They’re obviously not a priority and you can have faith that they’ll get done. The simple act of writing things down makes a huge difference in letting go of holding tight to everything.
16:58 Remain in control of your thoughts and be aware of when they start to spiral down. When that starts, stop yourself from thinking that way. Do something that will help you feel in control and then bring other people into your world to help you stop the overwhelm. If you can do those things, you will create your own eye in the midst of the storm.
