Recently, I did a podcast episode on the 3 Types of Events that will Skyrocket Your Business focusing on events that will grow your business. Today, I wanted to dive a little deeper into these events. Attending a business event that lasts a few hours will grow your business, but I want you to imagine the growth you will see after you attend full-immersion business retreats. It will blow your mind, I promise.

In the podcast episode, I talked about attending a mindset event, a skill-specific event and a networking event at least once a year (but preferably every quarter!). Each of these events are important. I would even go so far as to say that a mindset or personal development retreat, business strategy retreat and networking retreats are absolutely necessary to see huge shifts in your business.

Mindset or Personal Development Retreat

Attending a mindset retreat that is focused on personal development is the groundwork for scaling your business. It’s near impossible to grow without a mindset shift. You need to overcome the blocks that are holding you back in business and in life. If you’re thinking “How in the world can a personal development retreat grow my business?” then you definitely have some major blocks that are holding you back from your full potential. Continued personal growth is absolutely crucial to growing a business.

Some of my favorite mindset retreats are:

The Profit Party Retreat

April 13 – 14, 2018; Ann Arbor, MI. Ok, maybe I’m a little biased on this one, but the Profit Party Retreat is going to be a game changer for attendees. We are going to take a much-needed break from working ON your business to help your business grow with actionable mindset shifts. We will uncover your blocks and show you how to use your intuition within your business. Alignment is within your reach. You can begin to make the money you’ve dreamed of and experience the freedom you know is out there. You can get your ticket here.

Hal Elrod’s Best Year Ever Blueprint

December 7 – 9, 2018; San Diego, CA. This is the event that changed my life. Hosted by Hal Elrod, author of The Miracle Morning, and Jon Berghoff, The Best Year Ever Blueprint will take you through a process that will bring you lasting clarity, guidance and accountability. Not only will your life improve after the event, but you will actually take steps to improve your life while at the event. This event is emotional. It’s full of breakthroughs and you leave with a strong support system to carry you throughout your years as an entrepreneur. You can get your tickets here.

Tactical or Business Strategy Retreat

Attending a retreat focused on business strategy is probably the most common retreat business owners justify. Of course, you’re going to want to attend a retreat that will have you working ON your business. Continuing to learn more about running a business, keeping up with new technological advances and working among like-minded entrepreneurs is crucial to business growth. These are the types of events that are going to show you how to streamline your business and make your life as a business owner easier.

Some of my favorite business strategy retreats include:

Boss Mom Retreat

Sept 29 – Oct 1, 2018; San Diego, CA. The Boss Mom Retreat has quickly become the go-to event for female business owners, if only for its epic karaoke and dance party with host Dana Malstaff. You will spend the weekend immersed in your trainings and planning for your business. Instead of a series of speakers, the Boss Mom Retreat will have facilitators and workbooks to work through the trainings in real time. You can get your ticket here.

She’s Building Her Empire – Live!

April 24-26, 2018; Milwaukee, WI. Hosted by Stacy Tuschl of She’s Building Her Empire, this event focuses on taking you out of your habit of enrolling in courses and programs without completing them. The event focuses on giving you clarity and practical steps that will cut back on the time you spend trying to figure things out and amplify your business. This event is great for business owners who are focused on building their legacy. You can get your ticket here.

B.E.A.M. Women’s Conference

Sept 21 – 22, 2018; Hickory, NC. The Business, Empowerment and Motivational Women’s Conference is hosted by Renee Hribar and Sasha Gray and focuses on the strategies you need within your business and social media to actually achieve sales of your products and services. This is a retreat where you work on your business, instead of focusing on learning the how. You will learn that, but while actually doing it hands on. You can get your ticket here.

Networking Retreat

Networking retreats take collaboration to the next level. Attending a networking event is so beneficial for your business, but how often does the follow through actually follow through? At a networking event you meet so many people in a short amount of time and leave feeling like you never really got to know anyone. When you attend a networking retreat, you allow yourself to spend more time with the people you are meeting to create lasting connections.

One of my favorite networking retreats is:

Podcast Movement

July 23-26, 2018; Philadelphia, PA. The Podcast Movement is a giant gathering of podcasters focused on bringing together and educating active and aspiring podcasters. Their goal is to grow the podcast community and industry as a whole. When podcasters are immersed in this event, they are able to build collaborations and referral networks. You can get your ticket here.

Conference Connection

Attending a local networking event at your closest metropolitan area can really benefit you. There are so many retreats and events that you can find if traveling to a bigger retreat is out of the question. One of the best resources for conferences and retreats is Conference Connection. One of the most inclusive conference databases that I have found, Conference Connection makes it possible for you to find the events you want to attend without scouring Facebook groups. Search for events near you here.
